3D Printing Services in Adelaide and South Australia
We ship from NSW and we tell you exactly what that means
Need 3D printed parts in Adelaide or anywhere across South Australia? Forge Labs prints, machines and ships to you from our NSW workshops. We do not pretend to have an Adelaide address we do not have. What we do instead is tell you the freight cost upfront, give you a realistic delivery timeline, and stick to both.
Upload your file, tell us what the part needs to do, and we quote it within four business hours. Most projects start from $500 and move straight into production once you approve the quote.

What we deliver
Our 3D printing technologies
One supplier for the whole job, not three different companies for printing, machining and finishing.
We run FDM, SLA, SLS, MJF and metal 3D printing in house, along with CNC machining, injection moulding, 3D scanning, laser engraving and CAD design. One supplier for the whole job, not three different companies for printing, machining and finishing.
- FDM is tough, affordable and built for brackets, jigs, housings and functional prototypes that need to survive real use.
- SLA gives you smooth, highly detailed parts, ideal for presentation models, master patterns and anything where surface finish matters.
- SLS and MJF produce strong, complex parts without support structures, a good fit for functional end use parts and intricate geometries.
- Metal 3D printing handles serious mechanical or thermal loads, where plastic simply will not hold up.
- If you are not sure which process your project needs, tell us what the part does and we will recommend the right one. That advice is free and included in every quote.

|---|---|---|---|
| FDM | Brackets, jigs, housings, functional prototypes | Lowest | Fastest |
| SLA | Presentation models, master patterns, fine detail | Low to mid | Fast |
| SLS | Complex geometry, functional end use parts | Mid | Moderate |
| MJF | Strong functional parts, no support structures needed | Mid to high | Moderate |
| Metal | High mechanical or thermal load parts | Highest | Longest |

What it actually costs
Pricing depends on the process, the material, the size of the part and how many you need, but here is a realistic starting point.
A realistic starting point
Small FDM parts in standard plastic often start from around fifty to a few hundred dollars. SLA and more detailed resin parts usually sit a little higher due to the finishing involved. SLS, MJF and metal parts cost more per part but are often the right call when strength or complex geometry matters more than unit price. There is no minimum order quantity, so a single prototype costs a fair price, not a padded small job surcharge.

Industries we serve
Built for the industries that actually run South Australia
South Australia's economy has a genuine identity, and we have made sure our service speaks to it directly instead of treating Adelaide like a generic dot on a map.

Defence and AUKUS shipbuilding
Adelaide is home to the Osborne Naval Shipyard, the most advanced naval shipbuilding facility in Australia and the Southern Hemisphere, and one of only four connected shipyards across the AUKUS partnership. The Edinburgh Defence Precinct and Technology Park Adelaide sit alongside it, forming one of the country's biggest concentrations of defence industry expertise. Shipyards and defence contractors need jigs, brackets, fixtures and prototype components that are accurate and durable, produced by a supplier who takes confidentiality seriously. We sign NDAs before you send us anything and handle sensitive designs with the same care any defence supplier should.

Space industry
Adelaide is genuinely unique among Australian cities. It is home to the Australian Space Agency headquarters, the Australian Mission Control Centre, and the SmartSat Cooperative Research Centre, Australia's largest space industry research collaboration, all based at Lot Fourteen in the Adelaide CBD. More than a hundred space related organisations and over 1,500 people work in this sector locally. Space startups and researchers regularly need one off instrument housings, satellite component enclosures, and test rigs turned around fast, without a six week wait for parts shipped from overseas. We can produce prototype and small batch parts quickly enough to keep mission timelines on track.

Automotive and motorsport engineering
South Australia has a long history in automotive engineering and a strong motorsport culture that has never gone away. We produce performance part prototypes, custom brackets and engineering validation parts for teams and workshops who need to test before they commit to a final build.

Wine industry
South Australia is home to some of the most recognised wine regions in the world, including the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills. Wineries often need custom equipment parts, bottling line fixtures, and replacement parts for ageing machinery that is no longer supported by the original manufacturer. We can often reverse engineer a broken or discontinued part from a photo or the physical item itself, then produce a replacement that fits first time.

Mining, universities, medical and dental
We also support the everyday engineering that keeps South Australian institutions moving. Research rigs and custom lab equipment for the University of Adelaide, UniSA and Flinders University, replacement parts for mining operations, and medical and dental models all come through our workshops regularly.
