CNC Machining — Prototype to Production, Sydney Made
Forge Labs runs 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC milling and turning out of our Sydney workshops — aluminium, steel, stainless, brass, titanium and engineering plastics, with first-article inspection on every production batch and one-off prototypes in days.
Typical projects start from $500+ · Engineering & business enquiries welcome · Upload CAD, STEP & STL files for review

Why Forge Labs
Why Australian engineers choose Forge Labs for CNC
Calibrated machining centres, documented inspection, and a workshop you can actually visit.
Sub-Millimetre Tolerances
3, 4 and 5-axis CNC milling holds ±0.025 mm on critical features — true machined-part precision.
Engineering Materials
Aluminium 6061/7075, steel, stainless, brass, copper, titanium, Delrin, PEEK and machinable wax — production-grade alloys.
Prototype to Production
One-off prototypes to runs of 1,000+ machined parts under one local quote and one accountable supplier.
First-Article Inspection
Every production CNC batch ships with a documented dimensional report — no guessing whether the parts are in spec.
Tight Lead Times
Standard machined parts in 5–10 business days; express same-week service for prototyping emergencies.
Our Workflow
From CAD to inspected machined part
STEP / IGES upload
Send a manufacturing-ready CAD file with tolerances and finish callouts. We'll review and quote within 1 business day.
DFM & toolpath
Engineering review for machinability, fixturing strategy and tool access. Tolerances are confirmed in writing.
Machine & inspect
Parts are run on calibrated 3, 4 or 5-axis machining centres with in-process probing and dimensional checks.
Finish & ship
Anodising, hard-anodising, painting, plating, bead-blasting, brushing or polishing — all coordinated and dispatched.

What we deliver
Real engineering materials, real machining precision
3-axis · 4-axis · 5-axis · Turning · EDM coordination
CNC machining remains the gold standard for tight-tolerance metal and engineering-plastic parts. Forge Labs combines a calibrated machining centre with engineering review, in-process probing and first-article inspection — so you get production-grade parts with documented dimensional reports, not just chips on the floor. We routinely run prototypes alongside short and medium production batches for the same client.
- 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC milling for prismatic and free-form geometry
- CNC turning for rotational parts in aluminium, steel, brass and plastics
- EDM (wire and sinker) coordination for sharp internal corners and tool steel
- Aluminium, steel, stainless, brass, copper, titanium, Delrin, PEEK in stock
- In-house anodising, powder coat, plating and finishing coordination
- First-article inspection report on every production batch
Materials
Materials we machine every week
From the everyday 6061 bracket to titanium aerospace parts and PEEK chemical-processing components.
Aluminium 6061-T6
StandardThe workhorse machining alloy. Strong, light, corrosion-resistant and anodises beautifully. Default for brackets and housings.
Aluminium 7075-T6
AerospaceHigher strength than 6061 — used for structural aerospace, defence and motorsport components.
Mild Steel (1018, 1045)
SteelGeneral-purpose machining steel. Weldable, paintable, plateable. Used for jigs, fixtures and mounting plates.
Stainless 304 / 316
CorrosionCorrosion-resistant stainless for marine, food-contact, medical and chemical processing components.
Tool Steel (D2, A2)
ToolingHardenable tool steels for dies, punches, jigs and wear-resistant production tooling.
Brass / Copper
ElectricalConductive metals for electrical contacts, fluid fittings, decorative hardware and machined valve bodies.
Delrin / Acetal
PlasticLow-friction, high-stiffness engineering plastic for bearings, gears, bushings and food-contact parts.
PEEK
High-specAerospace-grade thermoplastic with 250 °C+ service temperature for chemical and high-heat applications.
Industries we serve
What we machine
Anywhere a part has to be metal, has to be precise, or has to be made in a real engineering polymer.
Motorsport & Automotive
Suspension components, throttle bodies, billet brackets, intake manifolds and one-off race-day spares.
Aerospace & Defence
Structural brackets, payload mounts, weapon attachments and confidential prototype work under NDA.
Medical Devices
Surgical instrument bodies, implant prototypes, sterilisable housings and clean-room equipment in stainless and titanium.
Mining & Industrial
Replacement bushings, hydraulic fittings, custom brackets and wear plates for remote-site equipment.
Scientific Instruments
Custom optomechanical mounts, vacuum chamber components and precision rigs for research labs.
Electronics Enclosures
Machined aluminium chassis, heatsinks, RF shielding and panel-mount housings with precision feature tolerances.
