Why Forge Labs

Benefits of our 3D printing service

Industrial and business 3D printing trusted by engineers, product teams and manufacturers across Australia.

Tight Tolerances

Industrial FDM, SLA and SLS machines hold ±0.1–0.3 mm tolerances on critical dimensions.

24–72 hr Turnaround

Standard prototypes ship next-business-day; express same-day pickup available from our Sydney workshops.

150+ Materials

Full FDM, SLA, SLS, MJF and metal 3D printing catalogue — PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PC, Nylon (PA12, glass-filled, carbon-filled), TPU, tough & castable resins, PEEK, titanium and more.

End-Use Ready

Engineering thermoplastics deliver functional parts strong enough for jigs, housings, brackets and fixtures.

Iterate Without Tooling

Zero tooling means design revisions ship in days — not weeks — at the cost of a single part, not a mould.

Our Workflow

From file to finished part in 4 steps

A repeatable workflow with engineering review baked in — so you never receive a part that wasn't checked.

01

Upload your file

Drop a STEP, STL, OBJ or 3MF file into our quote form — or send a sketch and we'll model it for you.

02

Engineering review

Our team reviews wall thickness, tolerances and orientation, then recommends the right process and material.

03

Print & finish

Parts are produced on calibrated industrial machines, support-removed, sanded, vapour-smoothed or painted as required.

04

QC & dispatch

Every part is dimensionally inspected before secure packing and dispatch from our Sydney workshops.

One workshop, every additive process

What we deliver

One workshop, every additive process

FDM · SLA · SLS · HP MJF · Continuous Carbon Fibre

We operate a deliberately broad fleet — FDM for tough thermoplastics and large parts, SLA for ultra-smooth visual prototypes, SLS and HP MJF for isotropic production-grade nylon, and Markforged continuous carbon fibre when parts need to replace aluminium. Choosing the right process is the most important quality decision on any 3D print, and we make that call in writing on every quote we send.

  • Industrial FDM up to 800 × 500 × 500 mm in PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PC and Nylon
  • SLA resin printing with 50-micron layers for ultra-smooth visual prototypes
  • SLS and HP MJF nylon for support-free, isotropic, end-use parts
  • Markforged continuous carbon fibre for metal-replacement structural parts
  • Full in-house finishing: sanding, vapour-smoothing, painting, threaded inserts
  • Free DFM review and engineering recommendations on every quote

Materials

A material for every load case

PLA / PLA+

FDM

Affordable, dimensionally stable thermoplastic. Ideal for visual prototypes, fit-checks and concept models.

PETG

FDM

Tough, chemical and impact resistant. Common for end-use housings, brackets and food-contact-safe items.

ABS / ASA

FDM

Heat-resistant and UV-stable (ASA) thermoplastics for automotive trims, enclosures and outdoor parts.

Nylon (PA12, CF, GF)

FDM / SLS

Tough, low-friction engineering nylons — carbon and glass-filled variants for stiffness and load-bearing use.

Polycarbonate

FDM

High strength and heat deflection (~110 °C). Excellent for fixtures, snap-fits and lighting components.

Standard Resin

SLA

Smooth, isotropic finish for visually-perfect prototypes, master patterns and dental/medical models.

Tough / Durable Resin

SLA

ABS-like and PP-like resins for press-fits, living hinges and snap-fit functional prototypes.

Castable Resin

SLA

Burn-out cleanly for investment-cast jewellery, dental and intricate metal patterns.
