Frequently Asked Questions

Explore common questions about our 3D printing, scanning, and product development services at Forgelabs.

  • What services does Forgelabs provide?

Forgelabs offers advanced 3D printing (FDM, SLA, SLS, MJF), 3D scanning, reverse engineering, product design, and rapid prototyping services. We cater to industries like engineering, medical, automotive, architecture, and more.

  • Can you help with product design and prototyping?

Absolutely. Our in-house design team assists in converting concepts and sketches into 3D CAD models, optimized for functionality and manufacturability. We specialize in iterative prototyping and testing.

  • What file formats do you accept?

We accept 3D files in STL, STEP, IGES, OBJ, and 3MF formats. If you don't have a file, we can help create one using 3D scanning or CAD modeling.

  • What is the turnaround time for projects?

Turnaround time depends on the complexity and volume of the project. For simple prints, we offer next-day or 2-day delivery. Larger or detailed projects may take 3–7 business days.

  • What materials can I choose from?

We offer PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU, Nylon, resins (standard, flexible, clear), and metal printing options. Material selection depends on your project's purpose (aesthetic, mechanical, functional).

  • Can you scan and replicate physical parts?

Yes, our 3D scanning services allow us to digitally capture real-world objects and replicate or improve them through reverse engineering and reprinting.

  • How is pricing determined?

Pricing is based on material usage, print time, model complexity, post-processing, and quantity. We offer bulk discounts for repeat orders and large-scale production.

  • Is my project confidential?

Yes, all files and projects are treated with strict confidentiality. We are happy to sign NDAs and ensure your IP is protected throughout the process.
